Henesis is looking for a DevOps and IT Engineer to join its R&D team. The ideacandidate is ambitious and not afraid to take ownership, has strong technical problem-solving skillsis collaborative with development teamshas a passion to automate away the mundane areas of development and deployment and is willing to keep up to date with current trends in technology. 


You will work closely with our growing Software Development Team to automate, integrate and deploy software during its entire lifecycle.  


You will contribute to configure, maintain, monitor and evolve the IT infrastructure, as well as our productionstaging and development environments 


You can expect to join a growing team in Parma, our main location. Smart working available (although physical presence must be ensured on a regular weekly basis)While being able to work closely with others you will also need to demonstrate the ability to work independently.   • Creating of continuous delivery chains using GitLab CI/CD and other DevOps tools (e.g. Jenkins) 
  • Coordinate with the Development Team to improve the delivery process and the robustness of deployments 
  • Managing and monitoring of continuous delivery processes 
  • Configuring, maintaining and evolving the IT infrastructure, including Linux servers and clusters, network and cybersecurity. 
  • Evaluate tools and technologies to continually enrich team’s knowledge and skills  
  • Travel may be required from time to time, both within Italy and to the HQ in Ireland (Lisburn)  


Required Criteria 

  • 2+ year of experience in a similar role (SRE, Cloud infrastructure/DevOps) 
  • Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent  
  • Excellent written and verbal communication 
  • Experience with cloud platforms (mostly AWS, Azure, Fuga) 
  • Experience with container technologies (preferably on Docker) 
  • Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment Pipelines 
  • Familiarity with configuration management and automation tools (Ansible, Puppet) 
  • Linux enthusiast with Systems Administration experience (preferably on Ubuntu) 
  • Strong knowledge of networking, routing, switching and security protocols 
  • Proficiency in one or more scripting languages (Shell, Python, etc.) 
  • Experience with Source Control Management (Git, SVN) 
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal  
  • Eligible to live and work in Italy  


Desired Criteria 

  • Experience with Container Orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker Swarm) 
  • Experience with Repository solutions (Jfrog Artifactory, Jfrog BintrayReprepro) 
  • Experience with SQL Databases (MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or MySQL) 
  • Knowledge of Microservice Architecture 
  • Experience with Web servers (Apache, NGINX) 
  • Knowledge of ISO27001
